Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter & Co. Smooth Operator, plus extra for attaching legs (or, bonus, use Dark Chocolatey Dreams to match your spiders if you have it in your pantry)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 bag small pretzel twists
Directions
- Break the rounded pieces off pretzel sticks until you have 8 "legs" for each spider cookie and set aside.
- Mix the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a large saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and let boil for 3 minutes.
- Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the Peanut Butter & Co. Smooth Operator and vanilla until smooth, then stir in the oats.
- Allow mixture to cool for a few minutes.
- Form balls with mixture using approximately one tablespoon per ball and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Dip one end of the broken pretzel piece in peanut butter and adhere to the leg, repeating so that each spider has eight legs total (see picture for reference). Enjoy!
