Peanut Butter Swirl Toffee

Ingredients

1 cup sugar 

1 cup butter 

2 tbsp water 

1 tsp salt 

1/2 cup Peanut Butter & Co. Simply Smooth 

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Grease a baking sheet and set aside. Add butter, sugar, water, and salt into a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved. Monitor heat with a candy thermometer, and continue to heat until temperature reaches 300°F. The mixture should be a rich, caramel color.

  2. Remove from heat. Pour toffee mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, and allow to spread. Top the toffee with chocolate chips and allow to sit for 5 minutes, allowing chocolate chips to melt. 

  3. In a small, microwave-safe bowl heat Peanut Butter & Co. Simply Smooth in 5-10 second increments until it is melted just enough to pour.  

  4. Spread melted chocolate chips over the surface of the toffee. Drizzle the melty Peanut Butter & Co. Simply Smooth on top. Allow the toffee to cool completely before cutting and serving.
