Dark Chocolatey Dreams Snickerdoodles

This snickerdoodle cookie recipe is a fun twist on a holiday classic. Dark Chocolatey Dreams and a few tablespoons of cocoa powder compliment the cinnamon flavor these cookies are known for, making them extra delightful. These pair well with a mug filled with dark chocolate hot cocoa or a cup of dark roast coffee.

Ingredients

Coating:

1/3 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Cookies:

1 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolatey Dreams 

1 large egg

1 large egg yolk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour

3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons cornflour or starch

6 tablespoons cocoa powder



Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to  375 degrees and line a large baking sheet with  parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl mix the sugar & cinnamon for the coating and set aside.

  3. in a large  bowl cream the butter and sugars  until well combined.

  4. Mix in the Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolatey Dreams.

  5. Add the egg & egg yolk, also  the vanilla and mix until  well combined.

  6. Pour in  1/3 of the flour with the cinnamon, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt and cornflour to mix  together.

  7. Add 1/3 of four and mix again.

  8. Add the rest of the flour and mix again.

  9. Separate the cookie mix into balls, then roll them  in the  coating. After coating them, line them inches apart on the baking sheet.

  10. Bake for about 10 minutes.

  11. Transfer the cookies onto a  wire rack to  cool. Then enjoy!
