Peanut Butter & Wine Pairing
Happy National Wine Day!
Is peanut butter and a glass of wine the new peanut butter & jelly? No, probably not, but it is a delicious idea for a grown-up treat. Perfect for entertaining friends or enjoying a quiet night at home, these nutty combos are something special. Grab a jar and a bottle and give one of these four PB and wine pairings a try!
Smooth Operator or Crunch Time + Rosé
Summer is (almost) here and that means it’s finally the season for Rosé all day. Whether you’re a smooth or crunchy fan you’ll find joy in this combo as both are the perfect companion to a chilled glass of Rosé. The peanut forward flavor pairs nicely with the notes of strawberry and raspberry commonly found in Rosé wines. Snack on your PB and Rosé alongside a plate of fresh berries and watermelon. No need for crackers, a spoon will do the job.
White Chocolatey Wonderful + Prosecco
This was our favorite pairing. White Chocolatey Wonderful is a luscious creamy peanut butter spread with the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The vanilla undertones in White Chocolatey Wonderful pair well with a crisp, bubbly Prosecco. This PB complements the hints of cream and honeydew in this sparkling wine. Apple slices, yogurt covered pretzels, and potato chips (trust us) make for great fare alongside this pair.
The Bees Knees + Chardonnay
The Bees Knees is politely peanutty with a creamy honey flavor. Try with a buttery oak-aged Chardonnay that has notes of caramel and green apple. Munch on some popcorn drizzled with The Bees Knees for an out-of-this-world snack alongside a crisp, cold glass of Chardonnay.
Dark Chocolatey Dreams + Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark Chocolatey Dreams has a deep nutty taste with a smooth chocolatey finish. We recommend pairing with a full-bodied, fruit forward red wine like Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, or a hearty red blend. We wouldn't normally recommend dark chocolate and Cabernet as they both have very strong flavors that could potentially clash. However, the rich nuttiness of Dark Chocolatey Dreams makes this a dreamy match. Snacks to nosh with Dark Chocolatey Dreams and Cabernet Sauvignon include pretzels, wheat crackers, red cherries, and blackberries.
